Good morning my lovelies and a Happy Mother’s Day to all. I’m currently still in bed with a cup of tea (made by myself!) waiting for my cherubs to wake up, remember it’s Mother’s Day and come say hello…..
So I thought I’d share with you one of my projects I completed a couple of weeks ago. I made a teal chunky throwover, this was my favourite crochet project so far!
I do not have the pattern for it, I freestyled it, lol! I was originally trying out a pattern for a poncho and it went from there. I used a no. 10 hook, doubled up the yarn to make it chunkier and completed it in a continuous 2x dc, ch1, sk 1 st of previous row, 2x dc into next st pattern.
I was impressed with how it turned out.
I just kept going until it was the size I wanted. Added a few simple rows of single crochet all around edge ….. ta-da finished!
Absolutely love it, it’s so comfy and soft it’s now my go to blanket when I just want to cuddle up on the sofa with my gorgeous man and chill out.
The only problem with it – the colour! It clashes with my front room decor!!! (I originally made it for my sons games room!). Sorry son, you can have it back once I’ve made another one….
I had some yarn leftover so I made myself a chunky cowl in the same pattern. So now when I’m out and about I’m nice and toasty wrapped up in a bit of comfort.
I hope you all have a lovely Mother’s Day, put your feet up, eat chocolate and most importantly, relax! You’re all doing a fantastic job 😘
See you soon
xx
