Kiki the Kitten Keyring Pattern – Free Crochet

Kiki the Kitten Keyring Pattern – Free Crochet / Amigurumi Pattern. A very cute kitten keyring requested by my sister. She sent me a picture and I couldn’t find the pattern, so this was a bit of a challenge.

I have written the Kiki the Kitten Keyring Pattern out myself. I’ve not had much practice at writing my own patterns, but please feel free to message me if something is incorrect or you are unsure of anything.

Stitches / Abbreviations: (US Crochet)

  • MR – Magic Ring
  • CH – Chain
  • SC – Single Crochet
  • INC – Increase
  • DEC – Decrease
  • SS – Slip Stitch
  • St/Sts – Stitch / Stitches

Head (Grey Yarn) – Kiki the Kitten Keyring Pattern

  1. Make a magic ring (MR)
  2. 6SC into MR (6sts) – do not join to first stitch, carry on working in the round
  3. INC in each st x 6 (12sts)
  4. 1SC, INC x 6 (18sts)
  5. 2SC, INC x 6 (24sts)
  6. 3SC, INC x 6 (30sts)
  7. 4SC, INC x 6 (36sts)
  8. 5SC, INC x 6 (42sts)
  9. – 15. 1SC each st x 7 rows (42sts)
  1. 5SC, DEC x 6 (36sts)
  2. 4SC, DEC x 6 (30sts)
  3. 3SC, DEC x 6 (24sts) Start Stuffing
  4. 2SC, DEC x 6 (18sts)
  5. 1SC, DEC x 6 (12sts)
  6. DEC x 6 (6sts)
  7. SS, Fasten off leaving a long piece of yarn for sewing to body.

Body (Grey Yarn)

  1. Make a magic ring (MR)
  2. 6SC into MR (6sts) do not join to first stitch, carry on working in the round
  3. INC in each st x 6 (12sts)
  4. 1SC, INC x 6 (18sts)
  5. 2SC, INC x 6 (24sts)
  6. – 10. 1SC each st x 5 rows (24sts)
  1. 2SC, DEC x 6 (18sts) Start stuffing
  2. 1SC, DEC x 6 (12sts)
  3. DEC (6sts)
  4. SS, Fasten off and sew to the head.

Legs, make 2 (Pink yarn) – Kiki the Kitten Keyring Pattern

  1. Make a magic ring (MR)
  2. 6sc into MR (6sts) do not join to first stitch, carry on working in the round
  3. Inc in each st x 6 (12sts)
  4. 1sc, inc x 6 (18sts)

Change colour to grey yarn:

  1. – 8. 1sc in each st (18) x 4 rowsStart stuffing
  1. 4sc, dec x 3 (15sts)
  2. 3sc, dec x 3 (12sts)
  3. 2sc, dec x 3 (9sts)
  4. 1sc, dec x 3 (6sts)
  5. SS and Fasten off (leaving a long piece of yarn for sewing together)
  6. Sew to the body

Arms (make 2) – Pink yarn

  1. Make a magic ring (MR)
  2. 4SC into MR (4sts) do not join to first stitch, carry on working in the round
  3. 1SC, INC x 2 (6sts)
  4. 1SC in each st (6sts) x 1 row

Change colour to grey yarn:

  1. – 7. 1SC in each st (6sts) x 3 rows
  1. SS and Fasten off (leaving a long piece of yarn for sewing)
  2. Sew to body (no need to stuff)

Inner Ears, make 2 (Pink yarn) – Kiki the Kitten Keyring Pattern

  1. CH 5
  2. SC into 2nd CH from hook, SC in each st across (4sts), turn
  3. SC x 4sts, turn
  4. SC x 3sts, turn
  5. SC x 2sts, turn
  6. SC x 1st, turn
  7. SS and fasten off (leaving a long piece of yarn for sewing to main ear)

Ears (make 2) – Grey yarn

  1. Magic ring (MR)
  2. 4SC into MR (4sts) do not join to first stitch, carry on working in the round
  3. 1SC, INC x 2 (6sts)
  4. 2SC, INC x 2 (8sts)
  5. 3SC, INC x 2 (10sts)
  6. 4SC, INC x 2 (12sts)
  7. 5SC, INC x 2 (14sts)
  8. 6SC, INC x 2 (16sts)
  9. Fasten off (leaving a long piece of yarn for sewing)
  10. Flatten ear and sew inner ear on
  11. Sew to the head (do not stuff)

Tail (Grey yarn) – Kiki the Kitten Keyring Pattern

  1. Magic ring (MR)
  2. 6SC into MR (6sts) do not join to first stitch, carry on working in the round
  3. – 12. 1SC in each st (6sts) x 10 rows
  1. SS, Fasten off (leaving a long piece of yarn for sewing)
  2. Sew to the body (do not stuff) 

Details

  • Eyes – Sew in black yarn with white yarn flecks
  • Whiskers – Sew in black yarn
  • Nose – Sew in pink yarn
  • Tie a piece of black yarn in a bow around the neck
  • Sew keyring attachment to the top of the head.
