Plaits (make 2)

Using White yarn

Wrap yarn around your palm 24 times. (approximately). Cut off excess yarn.

Carefully, take yarn off of your hand.  Using a separate piece of white yarn, tie a knot through the top centre to secure all of the strands together.

Cut all the bottom strands, so you have what looks like a tassel.

Separate the strands evenly into 3 bunches.  Leave the separate yarn at the top (that you used to tie it together).

Plait together.

Tie securely at the bottom of the plait with pink yarn and make a bow.

Trim bottom loose strands neatly (and any strands that are sticking out of the plait).

Sew each plait onto the bottom edge of the hat.  (I started sewing the plaits 15sts clockwise and anticlockwise from where I fastened off the hat to get them evenly spaced out).
