3D Mandala Letter I

3D Mandala Letter ‘I’ – Free SVG Link. Another great mandala project. This was a really fun project, I really enjoyed making this for my craft room.

5 different colours of card

I used all 5 colours from the A4 Premium Card Pack – Turquoise Shades from hobbycraft. They have loads of lovely colours in this range.

Link to the card I used: https://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/turquoise-premium-card-a4-50-pack/626609-1008

Foam pads

I used adhesive foam pads for this project. All layers except the very top one I have used the foam pads to give a bit of depth to the project.

(NOTE: try to hide the foam pads under each layer by cutting them to size so you can’t see them).

Link to adhesive foam pads: https://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/white-adhesive-foam-pads-25mm-x-12mm-x-2mm-40-pieces/606180-1000

If you want a flat look use adhesive spray in between the layers. (NOTE: Open the window and cover your workspace, this spray smells really strong and even though I had a A3 pad covering my workspace it still got everywhere lol).

The adhesive spray that I use is not showing online but I bought it from Hobbycraft and it was called ‘Permanent Adhesive Spray 200ml’

Self Adhesive Vinyl for the very top layer

I used the light blue out of this pack from Amazon : https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07WGVPC1L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I find that the very top layer has very small intricate cuts and the foam pads just wont work to adhere. So either cut out of card and glue the top layer on to the layer below or use self adhesive vinyl.

Blue Light Grip Cricut Mat

I used the blue light grip mat for all the layers.

Settings:

Cricut settings

I made the SVG smaller to fit the paper I had – 20cm wide x 18.5cm length.

Material setting for the self adhesive vinyl – PREMIUM VINYL

Material setting for the other layers – LIGHT CARDSTOCK – 60lb (163gsm)

NOTE: there may be better settings but these are the ones that worked for me.

Jasmine the Unicorn Crochet Pattern – Free. My inspiration for this pattern was a special little girl that definitely deserved her very own little unicorn friend.

This standing unicorn measures approximately 11” tall by 8” wide by 3” deep.
