Cheeky Monkey Crochet Pattern – Free Pattern Link

Cheeky Monkey Crochet Pattern – Free Pattern Link. Meet the new addition – My Cheeky Little Monkey!

Finally, I got around to making something other than unicorns.  This was made for a friends little boy.

This monkey makes a lovely addition to my ever increasing little crochet animal family. It fits in perfectly with my other crochet elephants and giraffes.

This would also make a beautiful gift for someone special to cherish forever.

This pattern is easy to follow and I had so much fun creating this project. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Materials I used on this project:

I used a 3.5mm crochet hook, but you could probably get away with using a 4mm.

The yarn I used –

  • Dark Brown – Stylecraft Special DK yarn
  • Mocha – Stylecraft Special DK yarn
  • Black – Stylecraft Special DK yarn

I used approximately 50g of both the Dark Brown and Mocha. Only a small amount of the black yarn is required.

The best soft toy filling I have found is from Hobbycraft. It’s usually on offer, so the more you buy the cheaper the price – https://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/soft-toy-filling-200g/630191-1000?_br_psugg_q=soft+toy+stuffing.

The ribbon I used is from Hobbycraft: https://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/black-made-with-love-cotton-ribbon-15mm-x-5m/594338-1000

I made the one with the ears lying flat, as shown in images. Also, I omitted the fabric inner ears / feet and used thread for the eyes.

Love it!! It’s soooo cute!

Note: I found that the ears were too big for my liking, so I shortened them slightly by removing a couple of the rows. I then made curly cues for mane and tail.

If you don’t know how to crochet these adorable curly cues, this link is a great tutorial:

I also made a small bow and attached it to the top of the tail.
