Crochet Easter Egg Basket – Free Pattern. After creating the Crochet Mini Easter Eggs I needed somewhere to keep them so I made a chunky basket to go with them.

This is part of a crochet series where the initial pattern was the crocheted Easter egg.  The other patterns in this series are where we then turn the egg into a bunny, a chick and a carrot.  All created in DK yarn.

Crochet Mini Easter Egg – Free Pattern. It’s feeling very Spring like outside today with the sun shining and the little birds tweeting. With Easter only a few weeks away I have created these little Crochet Mini Easter Egg. Look how cute they are!

This is part of a crochet series where the initial pattern is the crocheted Easter egg.  The other patterns in this series are where we then turn the egg into this bunny, a chick and a carrot.  All created in DK yarn.

You could use these as decorations or hide them for your Easter egg hunts. You could also make them into a keyring or add a piece of ribbon to the top and use them as home decor, you choose!

3D Pastel Layered Flower – Free SVG File

3D Pastel Layered Flower – Free SVG File

Created by ©BeejuiCreations 2018-2022

3D Pastel Layered Flower – Free SVG File – a great little layered card stock project to create.

Why not try this layered project out on your Cricut. You could add in your own quotes and frame it in a lovely shadow box for a gift for a loved one / someone special.

3D Pastel Layered Flower - Free SVG File

I’ve created this project because I love all the layered projects all over the internet at the moment that can be made on your Cricut. I’ve only just started creating my own SVG’s.

Please let me know if there are any issues.

To make this project you will need:

For a flat look, use adhesive spray or glue stick instead

  • Optional – Adhesive Spray (if using)

(NOTE: Open the window and cover your workspace, this spray smells really strong and even though I had a A3 pad covering my workspace it still got everywhere lol).

The adhesive spray that I used is not showing online but I bought from Hobbycraft and it was called ‘Permanent Adhesive Spray 200ml’

(I am not affiliated with hobbycraft, I just love their stuff lol)

For the 3D look, use foam pads in between the layers.

(NOTE: try to hide the foam pads under each layer by cutting them to size so you can’t see them).

Settings:

Cricut settings

  • Resize the SVG to fit the paper you are using
    • Settings for A4: 10cm x 13.923cm
  • The material setting for the card layers
    • LIGHT CARDSTOCK – MORE pressure
  • The material setting for the glitter card layers
    • MEDIUM CARDSTOCK – DEFAULT pressure

NOTE: there may be better settings but these are the ones that worked for me.

This file is available to download below:

If you need help uploading this 3D Pastel Layered Flower – Free SVG File to Cricut Design Space, here’s a handy link to follow:

https://help.cricut.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009556313-Uploading-Images-into-Design-Space

Please note this has only been tested by myself on Cricut Design Space and Affinity Designer. I cannot guarantee that you will not have any issues when using this SVG on other apps / software.

Make it

Glitter and Pink Flower

For the glitter and pink flower I cut alternate layers of light pink and glitter. I found it helped to change the colours of each layer in Cricut Design Space.

Once all layers are cut, I arranged the layers in order and glued each 2 layers together i.e. the two green layers together, then a glitter layer onto the next size up pink layer. You should end up with 1 green layer and 4 pink / glitter layers.

Next, in between each of the glued pieces I used adhesive foam pads and fixed all the layers together.

Hint: make sure you adhere all layers centrally as you go.

I hope you have enjoyed this creating your very own 3D Pastel Layered Flower. If you need any further guidance please contact me at Beejui Creations

Unicorn Free Crochet Pattern – Link

Unicorn Free Crochet Pattern – Link. I’ve been in a very unusual girly, cute mood these past few days.  For anyone that knows me this is definitely a rare occurrence! So to make the most of it I crocheted this cute little cuddly unicorn.

This pattern is easy to follow and I had so much fun creating this project. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

This unicorn makes a lovely addition to my ever increasing little crochet animal family.

This would also make a beautiful gift for someone special to cherish forever.

Unicorn Front
Unicorn Front

Materials I used on this project:

I used a 3.5mm crochet hook, but you could probably get away with using a 4mm.

The yarn I used is Stylecraft Special DK –

  • White – Stylecraft Special DK yarn
  • Candyfloss – Stylecraft Special DK yarn
  • Spring Green – Stylecraft Special DK yarn
  • Cloud Blue – Stylecraft Special DK yarn
  • Black – Stylecraft Special DK yarn

I used approximately 50g of White and small amounts of Candyfloss, Spring Green, Cloud Blue and Black yarn.

The best soft toy filling I have found is from Hobbycraft. It’s usually on offer, so the more you buy the cheaper the price – https://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/soft-toy-filling-200g/630191-1000?_br_psugg_q=soft+toy+stuffing

Note: I found that the ears were too big for my liking, so I shortened them slightly by removing a couple of the rows. I then made curly cues for mane and tail.

If you don’t know how to crochet these adorable curly cues, this link is a great tutorial:

I also made a small bow and attached it to the top of the tail.
