The greatest gift definitely is family! I finally got around to making myself something and I absolutely love it!

To clarify this Christmas ornament project was created on a Cricut Maker.

Materials

Firstly, you will need an acrylic blank ornament. The ornament shown in the pictures, for example, is a mirrored 8cm Acrylic 3mm thick circle from Woodform Crafts. Here is the link:

Silver Mirrored – https://www.woodformcrafts.co.uk/product/10-x-silver-mirror-acrylic-8cm-hanging-circle-wc1061/https://www.woodformcrafts.co.uk/product/10-x-silver-mirror-acrylic-8cm-hanging-circle-wc1061/

Secondly, you will need a Cricut machine –Shop Cricut and the design required for this is in Cricut Design Space – Cricut Design Space™. Subsequently, to access this you will need a Cricut Access subscription. This is the link for the file required:

https://design.cricut.com/landing/project-detail/6037851537908b0cf4a26632

As soon as you have loaded the design, you can customize it more and add in text for the names and extra hearts etc.

Before clicking ‘Make it’ hide the 8cm back circle and select all of the design, then WELD.

This design uses timberly script font but if you do not have you can choose a font available to you. Or purchase the font from https://fontbundles.net/bundles (this was free on 25.02.21).

https://fontbundles.net/free-fonts/script-fonts/timberly#gtmList=5&gtmPos=2

Furthermore, you will also need a 10cm piece of permanent vinyl for this project. This is the vinyl I have used in this project:

This post contains affiliate links. If you use these links to buy something I may earn a commission. Thanks.

Process

Start the project by loading the Cricut machine with the mat and vinyl then press start to cut. Above all please make sure that you use the correct material settings for the vinyl being used.

As soon as the Cricut has finished cutting, eject the mat and carefully remove the cut vinyl sheet. At this stage you can proceed to weed your design.

TIP: for small writing, intricate designs etc. place transfer tape over the whole design before weeding it. Turn the design over, take the backing paper off and weed straight off of the transfer sheet. As a result this keeps all the tiny letters firmly stuck down and stops them moving about.

Lastly, you will need approximately 15cm of ribbon or cord to make the hanger for your ornament. I prefer the cord for a neater finish, link for this is below.

Cord – https://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/black-ribbon-knot-cord-2mm-x-10m/568020-1003

Furthermore if you don’t use or have a Cricut machine, these Acrylic Ornaments are for sale in my facebook shop Beejui Creations | Facebook

Floral 3D Dream Catcher – Layered SVG Link

Floral 3D Dream Catcher

Floral 3D Dream Catcher – Layered SVG Link. Another great mandala project. This was a really fun project, I really enjoyed making this for my craft room.

I love how this turned out in black & white.

Floral 3D Dream Catcher - Layered SVG Link

To make this Floral 3D Dream Catcher – Layered SVG project

You will need:

Cricut MakerShop Cricut

Cricut Design SpaceCricut Design Space™

2 sheets of black cardstock

2 sheets of white cardstock

Self Adhesive Vinyl – 1 sheet of black and 1 sheet of white vinyl

I used the white and black vinyl sheets in this pack from Amazon:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07WGVPC1L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I find that the very top layer has very small intricate cuts and the foam pads/glue is hard work to get it to adhere. So you can either cut out of card and spray glue the top layer on to the layer below or use the self adhesive vinyl.

This post contains affiliate links. If you use these links to buy something I may earn a commission. Thanks.

Adhesive Spray and / or adhesive foam pads

I used adhesive spray for this project. All layers except the very top layers which I have used self adhesive vinyl on. This gives a flat kind of look to the project.

(NOTE: Open the window and cover your workspace, this spray smells really strong and even though I had a A3 pad covering my workspace it still got everywhere lol).

The adhesive spray that I used is not showing online but I bought from Hobbycraft and it was called ‘Permanent Adhesive Spray 200ml’

If you want a more 3D look use foam pads in between the layers. (NOTE: try to hide the foam pads under each layer by cutting them to size so you can’t see them).

Blue Light Grip Cricut Mat

I used the blue light grip mat for all the layers.

Floral 3D Dream Catcher SVG

I used this purchased SVG file from https://designbundles.net/ :

https://designbundles.net/elinorka/571980-3d-layered-dream-catcher-multi-layer-boho-svg-cut-

Floral 3D Dream Catcher - Layered SVG Link
Floral 3D Dream Catcher – Layered SVG Link

Floral 3D Dream Catcher Notes:

There is 6 layers to this project.

I chose to glue the bottom 2 layers of both the larger and smaller cardstock pieces together and used the self adhesive vinyl to make the detailed top pieces. I then put adhesive foam pads in between these layers for a 3D effect.

Next time I make this project I think I will add foam pads to most of the layers and see what it looks like then. I might even bling it up a bit with some glitter card stock and see how it turns out.

Floral 3D Dream Catcher - Layered SVG Link

Floral 3D Dream Catcher Cricut Settings:

You may have to adjust the SVG to fit the paper you have.

Material setting for the self adhesive vinyl – PREMIUM VINYL

Material setting for the other layers – LIGHT CARDSTOCK – 60lb (163gsm)

NOTE: there may be better settings but these are the ones that worked for me.

Crochet Winter Polar Bear

Crochet Winter Bear

Created by ©BeejuiCreations 2018-2022

Crochet Winter Polar Bear. Awww I’m in love with my new Winter Polar Bear!!  I really enjoyed making this and kept finding myself squidging the soft & fluffy yarn.  It’s so cuddly!

I was out shopping for new yarn (as always) and came across the James C Brett Flutterby Chunky range  …. its so soft and snuggly!  Makes you want to wrap yourself in it!

I decided it would make a lovely teddy and with winter closing in I decided to make a polar bear, complete with matching hat, scarf and booties.

It measures 16″ standing, 10″ sitting and 8″ wide.

EDIT! PATTERN IS NOW AVAILABLE: click HERE

Look how cute he turned out –
